Setting Up Their Space:
- Litter Boxes: The general rule is to have one litter box per cat, plus one extra. So, for two kittens, you'd need three boxes. Place them in different, quiet locations and scoop them daily.
- Food and Water: Separate bowls for food and water will help prevent competition and ensure each cat gets their fill. Choose bowls that are easy for them to reach.
- Vertical Territory: Small cats love to climb! Provide scratching posts, cat trees, or shelves at different heights so they can perch, explore, and feel secure.
- Cozy Cubbyholes: Create cozy hideaways for them to nap or retreat to when they need some alone time. Cardboard boxes, cat beds, or igloos work well.
